Belle’s Baked Brie with Cinnamon Apples

Belle scores the wheel, piles on cinnamon apples and bakes it twelve minutes, so there is something warm for whoever turns up.

  • Serves 4
  • Bake 12 min at 350°F (175°C)
A painted round of baked brie piled with golden diced apple and pecans, honey running down its side, on a wooden board beside a small jar of honey and a wooden honey dipper, on a red checked cloth with steam rising.

Ingredients

You’ll wantknife, mixing bowl and lined baking tray.

Method

  1. Score: Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Unwrap the brie and score the top in a shallow crosshatch.
  2. Mix: Stir the apple, pecans, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt together.
  3. Top: Pile it on the brie on a lined tray and drizzle with a little olive oil.
  4. Bake: 12 minutes, no longer. Past 12-13 the wheel splits and floods the tray. At 12 it holds its shape and the middle runs.
  5. Finish: Drizzle with honey. Serve right away with crackers and fruit.

Contains nuts (pecans).
